#CoronoVirus Officially in Africa As Nigeria & Algeria Confirm Cases While South Africa Plans Return of 132 Students From Wuhan in Hubei Province, China!

Most would agree that it is almost certain the #CoronaVirus is already in Africa, as the ability is just not there to detect it, but now Algeria and Nigeria have officially confirmed cases of infection. There are 199 South African citizens, mostly students, in Wuhan City and 132 of them have asked to be repatriated back to SA. As they’ve been living under lockdown conditions since the outbreak of the coronavirus a few weeks back, Ramaphosa can rest easy that it is a fairly safe endeavor for his troubled reputation. Corona virus spreads dramatically – How long before it will reach South Africa and will the ANC regime able to curb it ?

The dreaded new Corona virus is spreading at a tremendous pace and has already killed more than 100 cases, with more than 4,500 reported cases of infection.

The Chinese’s desperate efforts at dozens of measures to curb the spread of the virus are seen as a futile exercise by scientists.

According to a panel of scientists, it is projected that the cases that already have an infection are closer to 45,000, and that the infections double every week.

The government has closed ten cities to prevent back and forth, and two hospitals, each with 1,000 beds, have been set up to accommodate the patients who are flowing to hospitals.

Allegations are being made that the Communist government of China will not disclose the real state of affairs in order to protect the image and business confidence.

Chinese ambassador spells out the blunt truths about investment in South Africa – Appears that they want to take over after incompetent ANC destroys SA

China’s ambassador to South Africa, Lin Songtian, has made it clear: if South Africa hopes to attract the further Chinese investment it needs to resuscitate its stagnant economy and it has to renovate its infrastructure, including revitalising the governance of state-owned enterprises.

China’s ambassador to South Africa, Lin Songtian, is a master of the back-handed compliment.

Reportedly connected to the highest echelons of his government, he manages to convey tough messages to Pretoria, wrapped in layers of praise.

At a seminar at the Chinese embassy in April, for instance, he said that he “always speaks highly of South Africa”.

“Because why? Because 20 years ago South Africa was much better than China. 7th Brics loan worth R7 billion to be granted to the SA National Roads Agency, controlled by ANC regime will probably not be used for optimal benefits for road users

The “new Development Bank” known as Brics Bank, has approved the lending of R7bn to the state-owned entity Sanral.

This is the seventh loan to South Africa that Brics has granted, and the latest loans are considered another step closer to junk status.

The SA National Roads Agency (SANRAL), which initially intended to realize huge profits from e-toll, has failed miserably, and financial experts consider the entity as another state-run institution that does not raise the financial burden.

To date, Sanral has not been able to raise sufficient funds to keep national roads in good shape, and there is no concern that the R7bn will not be well managed so as to realize optimal benefits for road users.

Africa Still Struggles To Mine Its Own Gold – Tanzania Gives Chinese Licence To Build Refineries, Smelters and Mines

Africa’s fourth-biggest producer of gold, Tanzania, has awarded licences to China to construct a mineral smelter and two gold refineries. The Tanzanian government seeks to generate more revenues from the nation’s mining industry.

According to Minister for Minerals Doto Biteko, 37 Chinese companies expressed interest after the government invited bids from mining firms to build smelters and refineries there.

“After carefully assessing the financial capability and history of those companies, we have issued licences for the construction of two gold refineries and a smelter,” Biteko said as cited by Reuters.

“We will also soon award special mining licences to two companies to build large-scale mines, whose individual investment is above $100 million,” he added.

On the right side of the main street of the dilapidated village east of Johannesburg is a fenced-off electricity substation with a red sign warning of pollutants. On the left, a power plant belches emissions from burning coal into the air. Both are owned by Eskom.

Pullens Hope has doomed Rita Phoku’s family, she says. For decades, she lived between a storage site for Eskom’s burnt coal waste and a coal mine complex. Four of her five children suffer from asthma and other respiratory illnesses, while her 23-year-old daughter, Prudence, died of cancer of the lungs and respiratory tract. Her sister, who lived nearby, suffered repeated miscarriages and died of respiratory illness. All told, Phoku says, she has lost as many as nine family members to respiratory-related diseases.

China likes to claim that Africa, and more specifically, Ethiopia is their new china (a colloquial term for friend), just like Europe claimed many years ago. Ethiopia has a large, labour-hungry population. It has an agricultural society that’s just yearning for industry and is a sound investment overseas for China.

In many ways, Ethiopia is meant to be China’s example country in Africa and their new form of imperialism, infrastructure, is traded for control of said colonialism. Ethiopia’s leaders are happy to have a new world power to play off against the West and Russia.

In return, for a few billion in investment, the People’s Republic of China expect to have bought a supportive vote in the UN, a debtor to buy their goods and a future population to work in their their factories.

In short, China’s china.
