Two Wrongs Do Not Make A Right: Choosing the socialist road of enforcing dependency from handouts and victimhood, Ramaphosa, who became a Billionaire simply because he is black, has such a distorted world view, because his billions were just handed to him, he has no concept of what success or viability or sustainability or nationhood is. Like all Socialists, he seems to think the gravy train has no end and he can just keep punishing the hand that feeds him on the gravy train, whilst rewarding those who steal, plunder and vote for socialist grants. Ramaphosa has essentially admitted defeat when it comes to getting South Africa prosperous again, he appears to have no interest in that whatsoever.

ANC wants to speed up expropriation process during Christmas holiday season

The process to amend section 25 of the Constitution in order to fast-track expropriation without compensation suddenly gathered speed on Tuesday when a draft bill to amend the Constitution was tabled by the parliamentary legal services.

The Constitution Eighteenth Amendment Bill was tabled at a sitting of the ad hoc committee tasked with amending the Constitution.

This first bite at the wording of the constitutional amendment states that when the state and the land owner cannot agree on the price to be paid, a country may – where land and any improvements thereon are expropriated for the purposes of land reform – determine that the amount of compensation is nil.

Parliamentary legal services furthermore proposed inclusion of a section which requires national legislation to set out specific circumstances where a court may determine that the amount of compensation is nil.

If expropriation without compensation wasn’t enough, now ANC regime plans new land tax for SA farmers as well

A series of proposals such as the possibility of a land tax for farmers and limits on ownership and constitutional amendment were tabled on Sunday by the president’s task force on land reform.

Minister of Agriculture, Land Affairs and Rural Development, Thoko Didiza released the report on Sunday, but without much emphasis on the objections and suggestions by Dan Kriek, president of Agri SA, and mega-farmer Nick Serfontein.

Netwerk 24 reported earlier that the report proposes a constitutional amendment to allow expropriation without compensation under certain circumstances and with strict conditions.

The panel refers to those conditions contained in the Expropriation Bill. These are cases where tenants stay on the ground, where land is kept for speculative purposes only, state-owned land, where the landlord has abandoned the land or where government subsidies to the owner were more than the current market value.

The decision of the ANC government to continue to amend legislation on section 25 of the Constitution – which deals with expropriation without compensation – is short-sighted.

According to Vryburger, a motion on the ad hoc committee to review and implement the amendments to the legislation has been approved by the National Assembly today. The committee will continue where the fifth parliament ceased in December 2018, and should report back to the National Assembly by the end of March 2020.

Expropriation without compensation is officially back on Parliament’s agenda : We are hungry, we want our land back’

Amending Section 25 of the Constitution is officially before Parliament again after the National Assembly passed a motion on Thursday to establish an ad hoc committee to draft an amendment to allow expropriation without compensation.

In the debate on the motion, the old fault lines between parties who supported amending the Constitution and those who did not, have emerged yet again. The DA, IFP, FF Plus and ACDP opposed the motion.

ANC chief whip Pemmy Majodina brought the motion, which noted the fifth Parliament adopted a report by the constitutional review committee (CRC) recommending the Constitution should be amended so section 25 makes “explicit that which is implicit in the Constitution, with regards to expropriation of land without compensation, as a legitimate option for land reform, so as to address the historic wrongs caused by the arbitrary dispossession of land, and in so doing ensure equitable access to land and further empower the m

One can only wonder who is funding Juju and his EFF party in order to keep the Afriforum away

It was reported on 9 June 2019, that Julius Malema and the EFF had just paid a further amount of R109 098,30 to AfriForum to prevent seizure of their assets.

This payment by Malema and the EFF follows after AfriForum’s legal team placed them on terms for it.

This means that Malema and the EFF have paid an estimated amount of R344 000 to AfriForum to date. This amount consists of three of the five orders as to costs that AfriForum has obtained against the EFF in the courts since March 2017.

The latest payment pertains to the order as to costs which AfriForum obtained against the EFF and Malema on 14 November 2018, after the EFF and Malema attempt to obtain an urgent court order (to prevent AfriForum from removing the EFF’s property and auctioning it off) failed. This legal bill has since been taxed and therefore AfriForum was able to enforce the payment thereof.

South Africa’s white farmers brace for race war amid land expropriation debate

South Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC) has plans to amended the constitution, legalize land seizure without paying for it. The move is “not only about correcting a great historical injustice; it is also an absolute economic necessity,” according to President, Cyril Ramaphosa.

This time though, the proposed land reforms include expropriation without compensation, and this has stoked fears among white South Africans. Radical activists feel empowered and ready to take land by force triggering a heated debate about whether the plan would really help heal South Africa’s unequal society.

If you killed 4000 white farmers in mass 25 years ago and robbed, raped, tortured and murdered another 40,000 whites in their homes, you would have had a war.

If you told whites 25 years ago that they would be handing their beautiful farm land over to incompetent government to nationalize, you would have a war.

I’ve decided to retain this article on Editor’s Choice as it has provoked a huge response and brings into sharp focus the sort of dire consequences of the ANC’s carelessness over expropriation without compensation.

This may be considered as an ‘unintended’ consequence of the ANC’s ‘land reform process’. The IRR has argued repeatedly since the start of the process that this is the sort of dire situation that can spiral out of control. This is the most high profile thus far, most of the previous acts being against black farmers.

Farmers shouldn’t see themselves as an island, President Cyril Ramaphosa told wine farmers and businessmen when his campaign trail took him to the Beyerskloof wine estate outside Stellenbosch.

He said farmers should be part of the solutions facing the country, and they should embrace change.

Ramaphosa said South African farmers were really good, but that the country also came from a “very sad history, a terrible history, particularly on issues of the land”.

He said, as he did in his State of the Nation Address last year, that land was South Africa’s original sin.

“It happened when Jan van Riebeeck first set foot here,” Ramaphosa said.

“The future is a good future if we all work together.”

The solution was not to be isolationist, he said.

The boisterous leader of the Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) has slammed those who say he is not fit to govern South Africa.

Malema urged all to look at his impeccable records in the past, so they can see that he can do better if given the opportunity.

He noted that he would fire useless ministers that are costing the taxpayers so much to maintain and lead a South Africa of our dreams.

The EFF is up for a grueling 2019, as the EFF is correct in targeting younger voters and the majority of poor blacks who believe they can get land should the party take over the government.

EFF’s first attempt at the polls in the 2014 general elections saw the party gain 6% of the lion’s share of votes.

Independent polls by market research company Ipsos have the EFF coming in at 7% for this year’s elections.

ANC has set his sight on 30 farms in Northern-Cape province to steal once the parliamentary processes have been finalised

The ANC in the Northern Cape was in the process of doing an audit of all privately-owned as well as state-owned land.

A TOTAL of 30 farms in the Northern Cape, including several large commercial farms, have been identified by the provincial ANC for possible expropriation without compensation once the parliamentary processes have been finalised.

Vineyards and mixed farming farms in the Keimoes, Kakamas and Kanoneiland area seem to be on the radar in the list published on social media earlier this week by ANC provincial secretary Deshi Ngxanga.

Ngxanga said yesterday that the ANC in the Northern Cape was in the process of doing an audit of all privately-owned as well as state-owned land.

“This is to ensure that once the process of amending Section 25 of the Constitution has been finalised, we are able to speedily ensure that the land is distributed to especially young people who are interested in working the land,” said Ngxanga.
