While Vodacom has cancelled its contract with PRASA for the provision of cellphones, which train drivers used to communicate with control rooms, it has also been revealed that ANC took R9 Billion from PRASA to pay for SANRAL e-tolls, according to Steve Harris from UNTU, which is a union within Prasa. Train drivers use these cellphones to get the verbal go-ahead to use routes to prevent accidents, because they can’t use the radio base system because that is not working either!

Drivers now have to use their own cellphones, which is against PRASA rules (and probably against their insurance too). Harris says that the lives of train drivers are in danger when they can’t get authority to use routes and have to wait at crossings, because commuters who are angry about late trains have attacked train drivers in the past. Never before has there been as big a fraud perpetrated upon hardworking taxpayers than that which the majority black population has perpetrated upon South Africa. Imagine you know someone high up at a state owned utility, and because you are black, (and probably an ANC member too), you can add a 10% markup to the SOE’s services or product price and then have that 10% paid into your bank account. 7th Brics loan worth R7 billion to be granted to the SA National Roads Agency, controlled by ANC regime will probably not be used for optimal benefits for road users

The “new Development Bank” known as Brics Bank, has approved the lending of R7bn to the state-owned entity Sanral.

This is the seventh loan to South Africa that Brics has granted, and the latest loans are considered another step closer to junk status.

The SA National Roads Agency (SANRAL), which initially intended to realize huge profits from e-toll, has failed miserably, and financial experts consider the entity as another state-run institution that does not raise the financial burden.

To date, Sanral has not been able to raise sufficient funds to keep national roads in good shape, and there is no concern that the R7bn will not be well managed so as to realize optimal benefits for road users.

R1.6 billion stolen from the Eastern Cape’s social development fund – Funds meant for roads, houses and schools ended up going towards fancy dinners, luxury cars and expensive suits

The South African National Treasury has compiled a series of reports detailing gross expenditure irregularities within the Eastern Cape. These reports have been obtained by City Press, and the information now made public.

The Treasury reports rely on information gathered from special audit services conducted between 2011 and 2017. The audits scrutinised expenses related to mobile classrooms, roads and housing in the province.

Who stole R1.6 billion from the Eastern Cape?
A string of individuals, companies and national government agencies are mentioned in the reports as being involved in the syphoning of government funds.

The Independent Development Trust (IDT), SA National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) and the Coega Development Corporation (CDC) are accused of smuggling money out from under the Eastern Cape’s government funding.

Road users who do not pay their E-toll are now in SERIOUS TROUBLE: Sanral is now blacklisting motorists for unpaid fees

A Gauteng resident learned this week that he was blacklisted for e-toll fees to the tune of R60 000.

As reported by Shaun Smillie The Saturday Star, at least 25 other motorists also received default judgments of unpaid e-tolls fees from the South African National Roads Agency (Sanral).

Outa’s Rudie Heyneke told the publication that Sanral legally has a right to blacklist defaulters, but added that it’s unethical. He explained:

“Legally, they have the right to do this. The problem that we have is that it is not ethical. We are in the advanced stages of a test case that is testing the lawfulness of the e-toll scheme.”

Another concern, Heyneke remarks, is that the e-Natis system used to obtain a motorist’s details is not always a reliable source of data. The system is riddled with incorrect addresses, names and vehicle details.

Just something to think about with regards to SA taxes that will leave you shocked!

Taxpayers should not foot the bill for ANC government’s failures.  We need to look deeper into our system of government, and how we allocate risk and reward, responsibility and accountability.

At this moment, if you earned R100, you pay R33 income tax. You are left with R67. You buy R67 worth of fuel, pay 48% of taxes and levies on that fuel. R32. So from the R100 that you earned, you payed the government about R70 and kept R30. And if you spend that R30, 15%, R4.50, is VAT. And what did the government do with all your money? Nothing really except squandering it on everything except creating real value. Then they target you with racist legislation and blame you for the mess they created. And when you comment and ask questions in the media you’re branded a racist and unpatriotic and negative and should rather leave the country.
