It must really burn for African Councilors, ANC Officials & Ministers to know Trump was right in calling South Africa a sh*thole, yet despite this, they still cannot resist the urge to steal everything and anything that is not put beyond their reach! #TheAfricanWay of looting, destruction and lack of maintenance seems to have taken an accelerated path in the North West province, as sewage and other municipal services have totally collapsed in town after town. SA taxpayers to fund over R76 million for politicians who did not return to parliament after this year’s national election

Government will spend over R76 million of taxpayer’s money on ‘loss-of-office gratuities’ for politicians who did not return to parliament after this year’s national election.

The Sunday Times reports that this figure is set to continue rising in the coming weeks as payments are still being processed.

The gratuities will be paid to former ministers and MPs who completed at least a five-year term in office, with four months’ of pensionable salary being paid out for every five years of service completed.

This means that former ministers like Jeff Radebe and Derek Hanekom stand to earn at least R4.8 million each.

According to the paper, earning this package does not preclude politicians from accepting other public sector positions, or returning to parliament at a later date.

DA MP John Steenhuisen said that the packages were originally instituted to help MPs, but has since turned into an unnecessary and expensive benefit.</p

Ever wondered who was paying for ministers and deputy ministers’ cleaning materials, internet services, DStv and cell phones?

Dondo Mogajane … apparently obliged to exchange two BMW X5’s.

Even former ministers and their deputies’ free flights can cost the taxpayer as much as R17 million a year, according to the updated version of the ministerial handbook, which was approved by Cabinet on 8 June.

The ANC initially tried to stop opposition parties from seeing the textbook, when someone put it on the internet this week.

According to the new handbook, the state will pay “equipment” such as “mobile rental”, fax machines, DStv and internet and WiFi services for ministers, their deputies, premiers and MECs.

Spending on DStv Premium alone can therefore cost a total of R129 000 per month.

Former Minister Bathabile Dlamini said she did so because she thought she would be more useful if she was outside the legislature mobilising women.

Dlamini has told Eyewitness News she resigned from Parliament because she needed the ministerial pension benefits to take care of her family.

Dlamini spoke to EWN in a wide-ranging interview on Wednesday, a day after she resigned claiming she was made a scapegoat for the South African Social Security Agency.

She was the seventh of eight former ministers to resign from Parliament and she said she did so because she thought she would be more useful if she was outside the legislature, mobilising women.

When asked if she considered the benefits of resigning as a minister, she said: “I’m a single parent, I have responsibilities. That pension is going to help me, if I had a partner, I’d have someone to help [me].”

Are the rats now fleeing the sinking ship? – Radebe and Cwele also resigns as ANC MPs

Jeff Radebe and Siyabonga Cwele are the latest members of the previous cabinet who also resigned as MPs. Add to this Susan Shabangu, Dipuo Letsatsi-Duma and Nomaindia Mfeketo, then it’s six ex-ministers who are suddenly no longer able to serve in parliament.

Radebe are “praised” because he held six cabinet posts in his term. The moves were indicative after 1994 to “take away” a minister from one position if it was not going well in the department, just to re-deploy him or her in another portfolio.

Political analysts rightly ask whether the resignations are seen as dissatisfaction because they have been posted or are there other dark reasons behind the resignations?

To that post Ramaphosa appointed Thulas Nxesi – who became deeply embroiled in covering up the extent to which then President Jacob Zuma had benefitted from massive state spending on his private residence in Nkandla.

Ramaphosa has made the right noises about the importance of small business and entrepreneurship in boosting the economy, and has acknowledged that small businesses face issues such as red tape that are directly within the control of his administration. ANC regime wants to merged certain ministries after 25 years of mismanagement and reduce the number of provinces

Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of our failed rainbow nation, wants to merge several ministries after 25 years of mismanagement and reduce the number of provinces.

The number of ministers will be reduced from 34 to 25 with only 15 deputy ministers.

The number of provinces should be reduced to six. Currently, there are 35 ministers and 37 deputy ministers in the ANC Cabinet.

Economists believe it will make no contribution to getting the country out of its economic dilemma, and consider it “too small for a big problem”.
