The madam is calling Juju -Helen Zille invites Malema to tea for debate on the topic of South Africa’s future

Policy fellow for the Institute for Race Relations Helen Zille has extended an invite for tea to EFF leader Julius Malema. She has proposed an intensive discussion with the EFF leader on the topic of South Africa’s future.

Zille, who has ventured into the world of podcasts with a show called Tea with Helen, has publically extended an invite to the EFF leader, which is seemingly supported by social media users.

In a poll conducted on Monday, Zille questioned who she should interview next on her show between Thabo Mbeki and Malema.

Malema seems to be the crowd favourite as Zille extended an invite to him on Tuesday.

Previously interviewing the likes of Wits Vice-Chancellor Adam Habib to Ferial Haffajee, Zille has said the live debate would provide a platform for a no-holds-barred discussion on the country’s future.

Helen Zille sparked a backlash on social media after claiming that black South Africans enjoyed what she called black privilege, citing corrupt politicians

Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane said he had personally spoken to outgoing Western Cape Premier Helen Zille about her recent tweets on black privilege.

Zille sparked a backlash on the social media platform after claiming that some black South Africans enjoyed what she called black privilege, citing the re-election of politicians implicated in corruption.

Maimane was briefing journalists after the party’s first meeting of its parliamentary caucus where John Steenhuisen was elected to continue as chief whip in the National Assembly.

Maimane said he did not share Zille’s views on so-called black privilege.

“Any view that seeks to polarise South Africans on the basis of race is not a view I will support.”

Maimane said he had personally spoken to Zille about her tweets and that the party was taking action against her:

Helen Zille says she will start with a tax boycott action if those who are guilty of corruption as found by the Zondo Commission are not going to be prosecuted.

Zille says she will launch a “tax revolution”, but meanwhile, the DA’s leaders have distanced themselves from  Zille’s statement.

She also believes the same action is needed against all politicians and councilors guilty of bribery and fraud.

An ANC spokesman apparently later said Helen Zille was very close to treason when she made such talks.
