Desmond Nair, Provincial Chief Magistrate of Oscar Pistorius Fame, has been Removed From the Bench for Corruption.

Judging the Judges. Desmond Nair, the Provincial Chief Magistrate, who sat on the Oscar Pistorius case, has been removed from the bench under the Magistrate’s Court Act for alleged corruption.

Chief Magistrate Desmond Nair was suspended from the role by Justice and Correctional Minister Ronald Lamola after a report before Parliament on Nair being found guilty of misconduct.

The magistrate had security equipment worth R200,000 installed at his residence in Pretoria, which also includes an electric fence and there were also alarm systems and other sophisticated equipment found, which were installed by an employee of Bossasa.

An ex Bossasa official turned whistleblower, Le Roux, in his testimony before the Zondo commission, confirmed that the equipment had been given to the magistrate, for which he had not paid.

Black Township Protesting Power Cuts, Blocks Eskom From Inspecting Sub Station, After Racist “Gangster” Mayor Implements Extra Load Shedding on Top of Eskom’s!

Gangsterism and cutting off your nose to spite your face, seems to be a recurring theme in #TheAfricanWay: Amsterdam in Mpumalanga has instituted its own internal electricity revolving power cuts, of 5 hours per day, and the Mayor refuses to speak English at community feedback meetings.

The Mkhondo (Piet Retief) municipality serving Amsterdam in Mpumalanga has now also instituted “internal” load shedding on top of Eskom’s own load shedding. The community is in uproar over an additional 5 hours per day load shedding, on top of the scheduled Eskom load shedding. Giel Coetzer, a businessman in town says his business is at a standstill and everyone’s food and meat is rotting in their fridges. The local mayor, Vusi Motha, was supposed to address a multiracial meeting of both black and white residents last week, but he and other officials arrived an hour and a half late. Former ANC president Jacob Zuma, who was due to appear before the Zondo Commission, was discharged from the hospital over the weekend and will only appear later to testify.

Zuma is still being targeted by the Commission for interrogation on state hijacking, but Zuma apparently thanked many supporters for their involvement in “the difficult illness period”.

12 Municipalities in the Eastern Transvaal are under suspicion of mismanagement and corruption – R2 billion worth of wasteful expenditure incurred

The Zondo Commission, which raises millions of rand from the state treasury, has now had to shift its focus to the Eastern Transvaal to hear evidence of corruption and state capture in state-owned entities.

Corruption in many municipalities in the province, as well as mismanagement and maladministration, seems to have been addressed.

At least 12 municipalities are suspected of being guilty of corruption and mismanagement, and it appears the municipalities of, among others, Piet Retief, Lydenburg, Carolina, Balfour, Volksrust, Ermelo, Standerton, Middelburg and Delmas and three location municipalities are in danger .

According to a report by the Auditor-General, about R2 billion of expenditure was incurred unlawfully among the municipalities, and more than R236 million was a mere waste of funds.

Of all the illegal expenses, one particular case was pointed out in excess of R5 million paid for repairing a road that does not exist at all.

President in absentia: More than 30! That’s how many times Zuma failed to answer questions at state capture inquiry

How many times did former president Jacob Zuma respond to questions at the state capture inquiry with “I don’t know”, “I don’t remember” or “I’m not sure”? We counted. During his testimony from Monday to Wednesday last week, he denied knowing the answers to 36 questions.

Last week, the former president dominated news headlines when he appeared before deputy chief justice Raymond Zondo at the commission in Johannesburg. He was expected to, among other things, respond to allegations levelled against him by nine witnesses, including former public enterprises minister Barbara Hogan and former GCIS CEO Themba Maseko.

He quickly earned himself the name “president in absentia” for not being able to answer questions put to him by evidence leader Paul Pretorius and Judge Zondo.

Former President Zuma and the three monkeys – hear nothing, see nothing and say nothing!

The statues of the three monkeys materialized as the Zondo commission dragged on. The one monkey closes his ears, the other his eyes and the other his mouth. Now Zuma comes and says, “I can’t remember, I can’t say anything, I wasn’t there”

This is Jacob Zuma’s answer to his questions. He now attempts to be the great martyr on whom everyone wants to put the blame on and even told the commission he had receive death threats.

He seeks to divert attention from his involvement in the State Capture process through all kinds of accusations against people and institutions who apparently discredit him and want to get rid of him.

Political analysts warn that Zuma’s attack on the ANC’s leadership could spark a storm in the party. Meanwhile, the money baron Johann Rupert dismissed Zuma as a pathological liar.

ESKOM gives a US company a blank cheque, and they are cashing it in for a whooping R13bn

The US company that designed the extremely flawed Kusile Power Station in Mpumalanga was given a blank cheque by Eskom, which it cashed in to score R12 billion.

Despite the fact that the engineering consulting firm Black & Veatch, which is situated in Kansas in the US, delivered shoddy work that continues to hobble Kusile’s performance, two senior Eskom executives told City Press last week that the company is still being paid hundreds of millions of rands.

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has launched an investigation into irregularities around the construction of the Kusile, Medupi and Ingula power stations, which cost a combined R342 billion.

A senior law enforcement official told City Press: “The second phase of the SIU’s investigation is looking at the performance of, and payments made to the value of more than R139 billion, 11 identified contractors appointed by Eskom in respect of [the] power stations”.

R659 Million Prepayment Covered the Shortfall Tegeta Required to Purchase Optimum Holdings

That our country is still standing with the amount of corruption surrounding us, is a wonder. On Tuesday, March 5 the Zondo commission heard that within 180-minutes after receiving the order to pay R659 million, the entire transaction was completed.

This payment was completed without any services rendered by Gupta-owned Tegeta. Snehal Nagar, a charted accountant from Eskom’s primary division, told the commission how he was instructed by his bosses to make the prepayment without the submission of supporting documents. 

Tegeta is a Gupta-linked company which was awarded coal contracts by Eskom. The company has since failed to deliver the coal to Eskom’s power stations even though it is still mandated to do so.

Nagar said he received an email from Ayanda Mthetha, who was the head of the primary division, which attached an invoice for an R659 million payment. The email read as “per discussion”. Na

Far Left Helen Zille is suddenly tired of corruption in the country and now threatens to launch a “tax revolution”

Helen Zille says she will start with a tax boycott action if those who are guilty of corruption as found by the Zondo Commission are not going to be prosecuted.

Zille says she will launch a “tax revolution”, but meanwhile, the DA’s leaders have distanced themselves from  Zille’s statement.

She also believes the same action is needed against all politicians and councilors guilty of bribery and fraud.

An ANC spokesman apparently later said Helen Zille was very close to treason when she made such talks.

UPDATE:- The Zuma “bribe” : Radovan Krejcir case may head to the state capture inquiry

The startling allegations Radovan Krejcir made against Jacob Zuma this week could head to the Zondo Commission, according to Mo Shaik.

Monday’s revelation that Jacob Zuma had apparently accepted a bribe from a Czech gangster seeking asylum in South Africa wasn’t as much explosive as it was absolutely nuclear. Of course, Radovan Krejcir has merely made an allegation – but he says that the proof is out there.
