Former ANC president Thabo Mbeki has sharply criticized his political party for the May 8 election election list.
He said in an interview with the “Sunday Times” the ANC needed to be serious about eliminating criminal elements on the list of parliamentary candidates.
He says if it is not taken seriously, it will mean the end and death of the ANC.
Since the ANC has given support to Jacob Zuma as president, bringing about an early termination of Mbeki’s rule, he is not reluctant to criticize the party and its leaders.
For the first time since being worked out, Mbeki has again encouraged voters to vote for the ANC, something that has not happened for years.
