The so-called refugees in Cape Town, now housed in the Methodist Church after clashing with police, apparently want to leave the country in in mass Exodus format.
Their spokesmen said it was the only way they could draw the world’s attention to the ANC government’s insensitive action against them.
The refugees had previously gathered at the United Nations offices but were driven out by police, but the SA Human Rights Commission has given its support to the refugees, saying the police should stop their creating action.
About 200 of the refugees have since left the church building following discussions with church leaders and human rights representatives.
Shortly thereafter, the same thing happened in Pretoria when refugees also clashed with police in front of the offices of the UN Refugee Agency.
