Only 59 years ago on this day 31st May, 1961, the Union of South Africa became an independent Republic as it withdrew from the British Commonwealth, however in 1994 ANC unilaterally removed the practice of celebrating the birth of the Republic every May 31st. While most people did not even notice this dictatorial act, it really begs the question, what is SA now if not a Republic and why is South Africa still even called a Republic? Given the ANC’s naked hatred of minorities and constant demonisation of the country’s past, why is the country still called The Republic of South Africa? Is “South Africa” not a colonial term? Ramaphosa thinks that lockdown is funny and jokes with some friends on a video call that he meant the lockdown will last till April 16 next year, not this year!

The Chaplain General of the SA National Defence Force told troops of 21 SA Infantry Battalion that they do not take orders form the SA Police, but are there to support them. This is stange as a Chaplain, why is he even addressing the troops being deployed? Chaplains are not operational personnel and the commanding office should be doing it.
The police and army forces have closed down many main roads, like the M1 in Johannesburg in this video, to deal with the people who are not adhering to the lockdown regulations.

Cut your nose to spite yourself! Metro rail train services canceled in Cape Town following arson attack

The two latest incidents in which two trains of Metro Rail in the Western Cape went up in flames bring the struggling entity even closer to a financial abyss.
The trains were destroyed by the fire, and workers using the service later had to make other arrangements to get to the workplace.
Metro rail’s total number of trains and passenger vans have been attacked and burned by vandals over the past few years so that they currently have less than half their trains left in the Western Cape.
The Metro Rail said in a statement that the Cape Town railway station platforms 9, 10, 15 and 16 were so affected by the fires that they were closed, and that the railway station would also be closed for several hours.
All train services are canceled until later notice, and commuters will have to make use of alternative transport.

Refugees have decided to go on mass exodus out of South-Africa due to ANC-regime’s insensitive action against them

The so-called refugees in Cape Town, now housed in the Methodist Church after clashing with police, apparently want to leave the country in in mass Exodus format.
Their spokesmen said it was the only way they could draw the world’s attention to the ANC government’s insensitive action against them.
The refugees had previously gathered at the United Nations offices but were driven out by police, but the SA Human Rights Commission has given its support to the refugees, saying the police should stop their creating action.
About 200 of the refugees have since left the church building following discussions with church leaders and human rights representatives.
Shortly thereafter, the same thing happened in Pretoria when refugees also clashed with police in front of the offices of the UN Refugee Agency.

African Wealth Report – The richest cities in South Africa vs the rest of Africa

New World Wealth and AfrAsia Bank have published the latest African Wealth Report, showing the levels of wealth of various African nations at the end of 2018.
According to the report, South Africa is still the richest country in Africa, with the high net worth (HNWI) population of 39,200 people holding the most wealth at $649 billion.
This is double that of the second wealthiest African nation, Egypt, where the HNWI population of 16,700 people holds $303 billion.
Egypt is followed by Nigeria ($225 billion), Morocco ($114 billion) and Kenya ($93 billion).
Total wealth held on the continent amounts to US$2.2 trillion. Around US$920 billion (42%) of this is held by HNWIs, New World Wealth said.
While South Africa ranks at the top of the list, on a per capita basis ($11,450), it is only the second wealthiest nation – following behind Mauritius, where wealth per capita sits at $31,000.

Cyril remains silent as SA burns to the ground

While the unrest in the Western Cape has forced the government to deploy the unarmed soldiers of the Defense Force in the hope that the violence will stop, it is Gauteng who is leaving the area in chaos with just as much force.
The gang violence in the Western Cape has already claimed the lives of many people in recent weeks, and now the north of SA also has a violent crowd that burns shops and houses at a faster rate than the ANC can erect new buildings.
More than 20 foreign-owned stores went up in flames, but not before the looters and their children stole the usable goods.
With all this, and much more violence elsewhere, the ANC’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, is silent and frightens Africa so much that they are now boycotting the World Meeting in Cape Town.
Ramaphosa doesn’t say a single word about it either.
SAPS Operator of 10111 Emergency Number drops phone call while terrified woman pleads for help as she suspected a burglar was in her house

A 23-year-old Cape Town woman, living right across the Table View police station, phoned the police’s 10111 emergency number at 06:17 on Wednesday morning, and pleaded for help as she suspected a burglar was in her house. Until her bitter shock, the operator dropped the phone call after 25 seconds, without giving any assistance.
According to a report from Netwerk24, the petrified woman once again dialled the 10111 number and told the operator on the other side that she had heard someone in her home and that she suspected it was a burglar and begged for help. The police officer who answered the phone first wanted her contact details, requested confirmation that someone was in the woman’s house, and then asked her to spell her address before sending the police.

SANDF cannot prevent illegal immigration due to lack of finance, nor is it trained to combat urban civilian violence on Cape Flats

Head of the South African National Defense Force (SANDF), General Solly Shoke, as well as Defense Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, admitted during the parliamentary session that SANDF has financial difficulties. It is also said that the deployment of the military to counter gang violence on the Cape Flats is not feasible because the army is not trained to combat urban civilian violence. SANDF troops have been in Cape Town for a week, but have not yet left the barracks because they are waiting for intelligence reports and still waiting on a withdrawal strategy.
