It is a wonder that Potchefstroom is still standing with the open looting going on at a local black run municipality that is being operated like an organized crime syndicate by the local ANC, with its own slush fund. Mr Hans-Jurie Moolman, caucus leader of the DA in the JB Marks municipality, has revealed that the JB Marks municipality which comprises Potchefstroom and Ventersdorp has paid out an unbelievable amount of R53 Million since July last year to officials of the municipality.

There can’t be any doubt anymore that the plundering of the municipality by the officials is the true purpose of the municipality now and not the delivery of services. Mr Moolman told Netwerk24 that the DA in the council will now ask for a special council meeting to discuss the matter and they will also ask to see the report into an alleged investigation that the JB Marks municipality claimed they began in the middle of last year already.

Anyone know how an all expenses trip to the Durban July for Councillors helps local residents in Potchefstroom and Ventersdorp? Chris Hattingh of the  DA says the combined municipality for Potchefstroom and Ventersdorp (called JB Marks) is run like an organized crime syndicate and available facts prove it.

Of course stealing and plundering is just #TheAfricanWay and wherever things are run hy a black majority, there will be stealing and plundering. It’s their culture as both Zuma and Mbeki admitted. Even in Tshwane, which is being run further into the ground by the black dominated DA in Tshwane, there is stealing, looting and incompetence.

Aggressive juvenile protesters wreak havoc for the third consecutive day on the N12 between Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom

Kanana and Top City youth protest for the third consecutive day by blocking the N12 between Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom with burning tires and stones. Early this morning, protesters apparently hijacked a truck which they used to pull across the road. Local traffic succeeded in moving the truck, but protesters also packed stones and burning tires in the road. Motorists are warned to use alternative routes.  The protesters are apparently aggressive towards motorists, and several vehicles have been bombarded with stones this morning.

Spokesperson for the protesters in Ward 19, Tebogo Ngomezulu, said protesters erected illegal houses next to Top City Clinic in the Freedom Village area on Sunday.  He argues that there is a shortage of stands and as young adults they cannot live forever in the back room of their parents home. Ngomezulu says they will continue to protest and burn tirse until executive mayor Kgotso Khumalo meets them.

Refuse backlog woes continues at Tlokwe Municipality, governed by the ANC- Only two garbage trucks left to collect refuse in Potchefstroom due to mismanagement and ageing fleet

Refuse backlog woes continues to be an impediment to restore Potchefstroom and Ikageng to the clean and impeccable state it was in the past.

Washington Ncogolo, the spokesperson of the waste management employees says although they are trying their best and walking an extra mile to keep the city clean, they are now left with only two trucks to cover the whole areas.

“On 7 May we were using only one truck to collect refuse and waste. On 13 May, the municipality provided us with the second truck.”

He explained that they have 12 teams on the ground for refuse removal. “We have to rotate two teams on two trucks and always have to cover long routes and end up working throughout the night. It is not safe for us, but we are trying our best,” he said.

“The main problem why we are battling to keep the areas clean is the shortage of the trucks. “The municipality promised that in the beginning of May or end of May we will have 6 trucks. W

Poor little Thandi Modise states that ‘Black Farmers Do Better Than White Farmers In South Africa”, but your farm failed (photo’s)

The National Council of Provinces chairperson Thandi Modise believes that AfriForum’s decision to privately prosecute her for animal cruelty is to advance the narrative of the failure of black farmers.

The lobby group and the SPCA announced on Thursday it would pursue the case.

Modise believes that AfriForum is targeting her to show that black people can’t farm and the case has emerged now when Parliament is embarking on a process related to land expropriation without compensation.

Modise said that in reality ‘black farmers do better than white farmers in South Africa”.

But AfriForum says it was the SPCA which approached them in November last year while Parliament’s process was adopted in February this year.

Prosecutor Gerrie Nel is eager to get back into a courtroom.
