De-Colonisation = De-Civilisation: The “previously disadvantaged” who are now the “currently advantaged” clearly regard Eskom as a personal cash machine, with unlimited credit (from you the taxpayer). Eskom Sinks To Lowest Output Ever, With Dim Outlook, Despite Two New White Managers Tasked With Reversing Mind Numbing Corruption From 25 Years of ANC Plunder & Misrule!

Eskom has reached a historic low in terms of output during the last month. This slow rot and decay is then also the historic achievement, or lowpoint of the ANC, with its implementation of mind numbing and all pervasive corruption, crony tender practices and their Africanization or black quota recruitment policies and cadre deployment program.

In other words their implementation of #TheAfricanWay has finally led to more than a third of Eskom’s installed generating capacity being out of order in January 2020. Only 61,5% of its generating units are able to produce power at the moment. Chris Yelland, an energy expert, told Netwerk24 that this is the worst performance level for Eskom ever.

Solidarity: Eskom is in crisis due to years of looting, mismanagement and race obsession; asking taxpayers to fund R1.8 billion in performance bonuses is wrong

Eskom is in crisis and should be treated as a crisis. The company is hopelessly bankrupt and operationally fragile due to years of looting, mismanagement and race obsession. The new CEO, André de Ruyter, has to be given comprehensive powers similar to that of a business rescue practitioner. If Eskom is not treated as if it is in business rescue, it is going to explode on itself and South Africa.

Asking in court documents that taxpayers should finance R1,8 billion in performance bonuses does not fall within a framework of crisis thinking. We did not have access to the documents, but if they ask for R1.8bn worth of performance bonuses to be financed, it is wrong. Eskom’s bonus policy states that bonuses will only be paid out if the company makes a profit. The policy is also applied in this way. Our members have not received bonuses for the past two years. 27 top black executives were asked to be Eskom CEO – They all said no

While the government has been criticised for selecting a white executive as Eskom CEO, a new report from the Sunday Times states that 27 black executives were offered the position first.

They all declined.

The report stated that Eskom created a list of the executives it would like for the role of CEO and hired a recruitment agency to contact them.

“All of them said no. A lot of black executives don’t want anything to do with state-owned entities,” a government source told the newspaper.

This was due to the expected political interference and the fact that state-owned enterprises have “ruined a lot of careers and expectations”.

This list reportedly included Eskom board members Nelisiwe Magubane and Sifiso Dabengwa.

Following the lack of interest from these executives, it was announced that Nampak CEO Andre de Ruyter would take the position at the head of Eskom.

ANC Youth League calls the appointment of the new CEO of Eksom, Andre de Ruyter, white privilege

Collen Maine, the youth task team should focus on getting our youth off drugs, crime and creating employment opportunities and not trying to police every white appointed person. In 25 years every black appointed CEO failed Eskom tremendously. Infact, every black CEO appointed to run any SOE what so ever has failed it tremendously.

I honestly don’t believe in the fact that black politicians think everything is racist when a white person steps forward to do a job they couldn’t do. It scares them because they have very little to offer. You see, people that cannot compete or create will vilify those that can. Competant people are a threat to incompetant existence. As long as we are around, we will always be on top of things, and that scares incompetent people.

New white CEO of Eskom not welcomed with open arms – Numsa: ‘De Ruyter’s appointment as Eskom CEO an insult to Africans’

The recent appointment of Andre de Ruyter to the position of Eskom CEO has been met with mixed emotions, particularly by trade unions and fervent supporters of the Radical Economic Transformation (RET) agenda.

Although the African National Congress (ANC) has welcomed the appointment of de Ruyter, at a time when Eskom is teetering on the brink of both operational and financial collapse, union allies have been less hospitable.

The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa), which currently has its hands full with a particularly nasty South African Airways (SAA) strike, condemned the appointment of de Ruyter.
