The Electoral Commission (IEC) has removed a Deputy Presiding Officer from a voting station in Benoni, Ekurhuleni following an investigation into a video showing a party agent assisting with the transfer of special votes. The video below is of Ermelo incident, we could not trace the one for Benoni. So this is how the election is going, you can now expect lots of ‘crooking’, will this election still be fair?
The video, which went viral yesterday, showed a party agent helping to transfer special votes in their double envelopes from a ballot bag used during home visits to a ballot box in the voting station.
