The recent report about courts and the chaos prevailing there is highlighted by the new Justice Minister, Ronald Lamola.
He announced plans that would apparently modernize and digitize the courts in South Africa. According to Google, digitizing means placing data on computer.
This means that until July 2019 all court reports, statements and sentences are still on paper. The conclusion is that in nearly 30 years the government has not yet managed to computerize the legal system.
It leaves the impression that Africa has already fallen behind with the Industrial Revolution in the 18th century, is now asked mockingly.
