Political analysts argue that the pointing out of candidates who are unsuitable in the election pose a problem to ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa.
If he were to act and remove the candidates, there would be disagreements within some ranks. If he did not act, investors would attack him as he promised to eradicate corruption within the party.
This means that no action will be taken by Ramaphosa on the grounds that the Zuma camp and members of the National Executive may turn against him.
This may result in the party kicking him out as president of the ANC, which again has international implications for SA. David Mabuza, Gwede Mantashe, Bheki Cele, Zizi Kodwa, Nomvula Mokonyane, Bathabile Dlamini and Malusi Gigaba are all part of the group of 22 members pointed out by the integrity comic. However, there are also fingers pointing to Ramaphosa with his alleged involvement in the Bosasa scandal and making it impossible for action against the other.
