Comcast Xfinity, Mattress Firm, Home Depot and GEICO rank among the top 10 national advertisers at both music radio stations and spoken word outlets for 2017, based on total spend in PPM markets. That’s according to Nielsen’s just released Audio Today Report, based on its top 48 radio metros that are measured by Portable People Meters.
Nielsen separately broke down the top advertisers for music-based and news/talk stations. For the former, McDonald’s was No. 1, spending $46.1 million in PPM markets. It was followed by Mattress Firm ($41.4 million), Comcast Xfinity ($36.8 million), Home Depot ($34.0 million) and T-Mobile ($32.8 million), rounding out the top 5.
