The Islamic State terrorist group, which has been operating in Middle Eastern countries for years, sought the fierce attacks by US forces and its coalition partners, other pastures, and selected Africa.
The terrorist leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, had unequivocally stated that the terror will continue, and by that is meant that Africa has become a new target.
The Vryburger has reported several years ago that supporters of the terrorists are active in South Africa, and now there are reports in the media that the IS terrorists are on SA’s doorstep.
The Vryburger had earlier reported that IS terrorists were suspected of training in some squatter camps on the Rand, supported by former police officers.
With the continuing violence and murder experienced in South Africa, opinion makers have expressed the suspicion that there may be terrorists involved, and raised the possibility that gang violence in parts of the Western Cape may be linked
