‘They’re coming’:- A farmer’s chilling words to his wife before robbery

“They’re coming!” – These were the chilling words that a Stellenbosch protea farmer shouted to his wife while doing a security check after hearing that a farmer in the region had been shot dead.

“It’s devastating,” an emotional Gerald Knight told News24 about being robbed hours after Louiesenhof vintner Stefan Smit was murdered.

“We’ve lived here for 25 years and right now, I feel like just leaving,” said Knight.

However, he has his protea plantation to look after, even if he is in terrible pain from the broken ribs he sustained during the robbery.

The Knights were ambushed by three robbers on Sunday night while doing a safety check following an alarming WhatsApp group message about Smit’s murder.

EFF supporters accused of heckling, bullied and dragged by men in EFF T-shirts on elderly voters (video])

Unacceptable behavior from the red berets. EFF accuses IEC of orchestrating repeat votes with ANC. This video popped up on social media at around the same time the red berets issued a statement condemning the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) for allegedly allowing elderly voters who got the opportunity to cast their special vote on Monday and Tuesday, to do so again on Election Day.

“The EFF has picked a sustained trend where people who voted during the past two days as special voters, are now voting again today.

“For instance, in Meadowlands, Meadowlands Welfare Centre (32870549) ward 45, EFF Party Agents had to stop elderly people who voted during the special voting day, when they entered the station transported by ANC hired taxis,” the party claimed in a statement.

2019 Elections News: Not everybody is voting today, let’s have a look at why 9-million eligible voters did not register to cast their ballot

Current issues that affect their lives was indicated as a reason why they are not voting. The 2019 general elections are less than 12 hours away and right now, there is little else political parties can do to sway voters at the polls.

However, the outcome of the elections could be impacted by the non-participation of at least 9-million eligible voters who are not casting their ballot on Wednesday.

A report published by Business Tech indicated that this was a drop in participation, compared to 2014’s general election.

Although the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) achieved the most successful registration period, seeing an increased 26.7-million voters pledging their intentions to cast a ballot on Election Day, 2019 also saw an increase in the number of eligible voters, which stands at 35.9-million.

SA’s political parties have been receiving donations in the form of money, goods and services for years from the likes of banks, corporations, individuals, foreign entities, governments and political parties, and state-owned enterprises.

Although donations to political parties are not always in hard cash, the largest donations are usually paid into bank accounts.

Sometimes goods are handled by political parties that come in handy, while some services that are delivered free of charge are also part of  donations are considered.

Each year, with elections, the question arises as to who makes donations to political parties, and the most important party is usually the governing party whose details attract attention.

With May 8 in the limelight for those who want to vote, it can be informative about who gave money to the ANC in the past, and probably again this year.

A black man has called out Julius Malema, stating that he doesn’t have the moral qualification and administrative acumen to be the president of South Africa.

This is as the heat is building up for the may 2019 election keeps going up..there have been mixed feelings from lots of South Africans on who or which party to vote for.

All the political parties are asking the electorates to vote for them with various promises of doing better than the ANC.

Malema who took to his Twitter handle earlier yesterday to comment on an issue concerning the alleged plot to remove the EFF from the ballot paper said that “no one can do that.”

MAY 8 Elections: Fly By Nights May Turn Election Into A Circus – The meat mincer has been switched on and only the fittest will survive

At the deadline yesterday a total of 34 political parties have shown their intention to contest the election on May 8. The IEC gave them time till 17:00 yesterday to pay their deposits and to submit candidate lists.

The IEC will now sift through the parties to establish whether they are compliant with the law and IEC principles and then set March 25 as the final return for queries for parties and nominated candidates.

Most of these parties will fall along the way as the election campaign picks up speed. There is no place to hide for facebook parties, opportunists and clowns – from now on it is hard politics under scrutiny.

It is doubtful whether more than 13 parties will eventually make it to Parliament; in fact, the number may for the first time since 1994 drop to less than 12. It is not so easy to draw 50 000 for a seat in Parliament as it looks from the comfort from a computer chair.

It is often said that the Afrikaner changes his religion easier than his political party! One can almost believe that, given the fact that he allowed himself to be dragged right through the 1994 handover and into the ‘one man one vote’ state by the National Party, firmly believing that the National Party hasn’t changed at all.

We have the very same thing with Afrikaners sticking to the DA at all cost. Doesn’t matter how blatantly racist Mmusi Maimane is against white people, the Afrikaner sticks to the DA. Combine this with one of the Afrikaners favourite questions: “Who is the leader?” and you have trouble. If a leader goes awry, one should not follow him any more.

“Racebaiting Political and Government Vultures Must Stay Away From Children!”

The Green Party of South Africa (GPSA) said that political and Government bigwigs should stay away from the premises of the Laerskool Schweizer-Reneke.

According to Ms. Anisha Garib, GPSA spokesperson and member of the Steering Team, young pupils, staff and parents are traumatised by the sudden flurry of officials and political operators descending on the school.

According to Garib, high ranking officials from political parties, the Department of Education the Human Rights Commission appear to act like “political vultures”, feeding on the alarming level of racial divisions that currently prevail in South Africa. This draws our attention away from the real problems facing the country.

“Go have your meetings somewhere else – not at the school where children are present and witnessing some childish behaviour by adults”, Garib said.

Disgusting is not a proper word! BLF Leader, Andile, Celebrates The Farm Murder Of 2 Elderly Couple Shot While Sleeping

In a shocking tweet posted on Friday the 14th of December 2018, the national spokesperson for Black First Land First, Lindsay Maasdorp, celebrated the brutal murder of an elderly couple, who was shot and killed whilst sleeping in their beds, on their farm in the Western Cape.

This comes after Black First Land First leader, Andile Mngxitama, last week said that for every one black person killed they would kill five white people, including women and children.

Two elderly victims, male and female, were both shot dead in their bed whilst sleeping according to Ian Cameron of Afriforum.

The SAHRC, as well as many civil rights organisations and political parties, indicated that they would lay charges against BLF and take the matter further legally.

Lobby group AfriForum recently reported that 22 farm attacks have been reported in the Western Cape since the start of this year.
