God Help us! No health care facility in Gauteng controlled by ANC regime could pass safety audit – Now the very same regime wants to enforce a National Health Insurance Plan across SA

No healthcare facility in Gauteng was able to successfully pass a safety audit that complies with the Occupational Safety Act of SA (OHSA),according to a statement issued by DA Health spokesman Jack Bloom on Thursday. This means that all hospitals and clinics in Gauteng pose a safety risk to staff and patients.

It ranges from overcrowding to emergency departments, leaky roofs, non-functional air conditioning and non-standard kitchens.

This highlights how unprepared the state is for the planned National Health Insurance to be introduced.

Informed sources believe it is better not to go to the hospitals, as the risk of just being further affected or even die, has become too great.

“This information about the shock state of healthcare facilities is revealed by Gauteng Health MEC Bandile Masuku in a written response to questions in the Gauteng Legislature,” Bloom said.

New health plan poses huge risk to SA’s economy and would be disastrous if implemented – even far left FW de Klerk Foundation have their doubts

The ANC regime has South Africa’s people in a huge dilemma with its National Health Plan.

Foreign media reports that a government spokesman said the plan would be implemented gradually, but that would depend on the economic growth achieved.

Experts point out that the country will not show any significant growth in the next five years, with the massive unemployment still rising.

The plan is believed to be “rolled out” in phases as economic growth improves, but experts point out that nothing has been said about what will happen if the economy recedes further.

Opinionists believe this will mean that the tax assessment could increase dramatically, and ultimately the entire Plan fails.

Even the far left FW de Klerk Foundation believes implementing the Health Plan will be a disaster again for South Africa.

Difficult times for SA health after election of controversial chairperson, Dr Dhlomo whom was responsible for the collapse of KwaZulu-Natal’s health care services

The FF Plus foresees difficult times ahead for our country’s health sector after Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo, former MEC for Health in KwaZulu-Natal, was elected as chairperson of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee for Health during the Committee’s first meeting.

Dr Dhlomo’s departure from the position of MEC in KwaZulu-Natal earlier this year was welcomed by opposition parties. While in office, he seemed to move from one crisis to the next. His “Make Me Look Like A Hospital” programme failed and he blamed the hospital management when it could not be implemented.

The programme was aimed at giving the public and hospital staff a voice so as to improve hospitals.

Dr Dhlomo is also known as the one responsible for the collapse of KwaZulu-Natal’s health care services. According to reports, hospitals were dirty and did not have the basic linen. On top of that, people died under strange circumstances in these hospitals.

An unexplained fire in Durban’s Addington hospital resulted in 84 patients being evacuated. Elevators have been out of order in hospital for 18 months.

The Addington Hospital in Durban had to act quickly to remove patients from the seventh floor after a fire occurred.

About 84 patients, 25 of whom were newly born babies, had to be taken to safety while firefighters assisted.

Heavy smoke clouds later threatened the ninth to thirteenth floor which forced management to implement the hospital’s emergency plan because the fire brigade had not yet arrived.

The fire was still unknown, but investigators would try to figure out what could cause panic in the hospital.

State hospitals are ever so often in the news and not because of good medical care but rather patients tied to chairs, lack of high-care medical equipment, and the fact that patients often have to take care of bedding themselves.

The government wants to set up a National Health Program so that the entire population of South Africa can access free medical care. However, reality speaks volumes.

After an unsuccessful term as Minister of Health, Aaron Motsoaledi was “redeployed” to another sector of the cabinet.

Under his rule, 143 patients died in institutions and hospitals such as Tygerberg, Baragwanath, Steve Biko, Far East Rand, RK Khan and Bongani, to name but a few.

This is the opinion of an informed observer in Pretoria, adding that the hospitals’ conditions are critical and describe them as “death institutions.

Doctors leave state hospitals because of poor control and questionable management. Nurses go to work in Eastern countries or in Europe.

Inhumane abuse of elderly woman at the hands of hospital staff in Mamelodi Hospital – woman tied up to a leg of a chair and lying on the floor

The hospital’s clinical manager says the abuse was inhumane and that the matter will be investigated and those involved will be taken to task.

Mamelodi Hospital’s clinical manager, Dr Mpho Thoabala Motjope said the facility was “dismayed and appalled” by the abuse of 76-year-old Martha Marais at the hospital.

This comes after it surfaced through a social media post that the elderly woman had been a victim of abuse allegedly at the hands of hospital staff.

Virginia Keppler posted images and videos on Facebook that showed the elderly woman tied up to a leg of a chair allegedly at the hospital.

Marais is seen tied up and lying on the floor under the chairs while her distressed daughter berates the security guards for their shocking treatment of her.

Woman to sue Gauteng health department after giving birth to ‘decapitated’ baby in state hospital

A 19-year-old woman who delivered a “decapitated” baby is planning to sue the Gauteng health department.

According to eNCA, the woman had suffered with abdominal pain for a few weeks before she went into labour. The woman, who has not been named, spoke to eNCA.

She then went to a general practitioner, who found that something was wrong with the baby and suggested she go to hospital for further assessment.

The pain persisted, so she went to Tambo Memorial hospital in Boksburg, where a scan was done, eNCA said.

The hospital confirmed the baby was abnormal, but said a heartbeat could be heard.

“Three days later, she went into labour. She was pushing, but the baby was not coming out. A doctor came and used forceps to take the baby out,” eNCA reported. “That’s when she said she saw the head of her baby without their rest of the body.”

A Pietermaritzburg woman’s impassioned plea for nurses at two city hospitals to help her very ill infant fell on deaf ears and hours later the five-month-old baby died.

After his mother was turned away from two state hospitals — Grey’s and Northdale — baby Brody Lee Bezuidenhout could not hold on any longer and died.

The grieving family told The Witness on Monday that had he been attended to urgently they believe Brody Lee would still be alive today.

The five-month-old baby died at Edendale Hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning after his family were allegedly earlier turned away by nurses at Grey’s and Northdale Hospitals.

A series of tests later revealed that baby Brody Lee had contracted bacterial meningitis. His bereaved aunt, Janine Kemp, said the infant woke up crying on Saturday night. The mother noticed that the baby was running a very high fever and could not calm down.

Die Laerskool Vaalwater in Limpopo is tot verdere kennisgewing gesluit nadat skarlakenkoors by etlike leerlinge en onderwysers gediagnoseer is.

Ouers is Maandagoggend laat weet om hul kinders as voorkomingsmaatreël by die skool te gaan haal.

Skarlakenkoors is Vrydag by twee gr. R-leerlinge van die Laerskool Vaalwater deur dokters gediagnoseer. Daar word nog vasgestel hoeveel van die skool se 195 leerlinge die siekte onder lede het.

Bronne na aan die skool sê nóg leerlinge het Maandag siek by die skool opgedaag.

Minstens ses onderwysers is intussen ook met die hoogs aansteeklike bakteriese siekte besmet. Die skool het die onderwysdepartement in kennis gestel.

Die Wêreld Gesondheid Organisasie (WGO) van die Verenigde Nasies het ’n allesomvattende wêreld plan opgestel om ’n volgende griep epidemie te voorkom.

Die plan word beskou as die mees omvattende aksie wat ten doel het om die wêreld voor te berei vir die volgende griep pandemie.

Volgens die WGO is dit nie ’n kwessie van of so ’n griep pandemie sal uitbreek nie, die vraag is net wanneer gaan die gebeur.

Dit is die waarskuwing wat die WGO se Direkteur-Generaal, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in ’n verklaring gesê het.

South Africa’s health sector currently has a nationwide shortage of a vital vaccine that is used for the prevention of diphtheria as well as a vaccine to prevent tetanus.

The shortage not only left parents frustrated, but caused anger and anxiety because their loved one’s overall condition was threatened.

The shortfall of vaccine is a serious threat to children’s health and can lead to deaths that could be prevented.

The people in remote areas often have to travel long distances to clinics where they get the preventive vaccine for their children, and now they are apparently become outraged because they are repeatedly told to come later.

However, it appears that the shortage is not with suppliers, but with the authorities negligence to replenish their stock in time.
