ABERDEEN NEWS – An extremely serious case of stock theft has taken place in the Aberdeen district.
Substantial reward offered.
One hundred weaned afrino lambs, six to seven months old in full fleece, have been stolen from the grazing camp on the property of OJ and Megan Moolman at Brummersdam between 27 March and 2 April.
It is concerning to note that this property is surrounded by farmland, and is not near a public road.
The stock theft unit from Graaff-Reinet is handling the case.
A substantial reward has been offered for leads resulting in the arrest and successful conviction of the stock thief or thieves.
The owners have appealed to local farmers who have bought or been offered these lambs to contact them immediately.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dickie Ogilvie on 082 415 9260.
